Designer Fashion Trends 2021

Whether Vogue is your bible or if you’re an avid luxury handbag collector, designer trends can serve as your number one source of fashion inspiration. Designer fashion trends dominate the industry and impact what we all wear, even if it’s from a high-street brand. The beauty of designer fashion trends is that you can use them as inspiration and incorporate them into your personal style. Whether you’re on a budget or want to splurge on a designer staple, I am sharing five of the biggest designer fashion trends for 2024.

  1. Equestrian inspired bags

Luxury handbags have taken their inspiration from equestrian motifs for decades. After all, some of the most famous fashion brands take their inspiration from the world of horse riding. The Prada bag has been brought back into the brand’s main line, becoming one of the ‘it’ bags of the season. You’ll see the equestrian buckle closure on several of the must-have bags for 2021.

 

2. Patterned tights

Another trend brought back to life by Gucci is patterned tights. The popularity of this trend has spurred on by the return of the early-2000s aesthetic. Patterned tights are a year-round staple that add a quirky twist to any outfit. Whether you want to keep it understated with a minimalistic pattern or go all out with a print, there are patterned tights for everyone. 3. Personalized accessories

One designer trend that I’m fully on board with is personalization jewelry. Adding your initials to an accessory is hardly new, but it’s a trend that’s come back with a bang. Almost every designer brand is giving you the option to personalize your accessories and make them your own. You might want to add your initials to a “Burberry Scarf” or a Tiffany and Co necklace. Louis Vuitton’s “My LV Tour” allows you to put your own twist on some of the brand’s most iconic pieces.

4. Laidback sneakers

When it comes to designer shoes, the sneaker trend shows no signs of slowing down. White sneakers are still dominating the trend as a versatile staple that you can wear with everything from a midi-dress to jeans. You can incorporate the logo mania trend into your casual sneakers with the “Dior Oblique” sneakers or Louis Vuitton “Run Way” trainer. Some of the most popular sneakers are those that deliberately look worn-in, like the Golden Goose “Superstar” style and Gucci’s distressed “Screener’”sneakers.

5. Hats, hats, hats

Whether it’s bucket hats, fedora hats or baseball caps, hats are everywhere we look in 2021. You can thank the fedora hat for bringing this accessory back in style. Everyone from Dior to Gucci and Tory Burch are offering fedora hats as the must-have accessory of 2021. Most of these hats incorporate the brand’s signature logo monograms with a reversible print. The Prada Triangle Logo bucket bag is one of the ‘it’ accessories of 2021. If you’re like myself, I prefer a hat with no labels.
