Israel is a fascinating destination with plenty to see and do for every type of traveler. The following is an 8-day trip that will leave you with lasting memories of your visit to Israel.
Day One
Head from the airport to your hotel and check-in. For luxury accommodations, check out Prima Oasis Dead Sea; for something more modest, consider Club hotel Eilat or the Crowne Plaza Dead Sea.
Day Two
Check out Jerusalem’s most well-known historical sites, such as the mount of Olives with its views of Old Jerusalem; head into Old Jerusalem itself to inspect the 2,000-year old Western Wall. Consider stopping at Yad Vashem, a museum dedicated to the Holocaust, for a somber yet educational visit.
Day Three
Continue your historical adventure by taking a trip to Jericho, widely considered the oldest active city in the entire world. The city features ancient architecture along with Zacheus Sycamore, an ancient tree with religious significance.
Day Four
Time to relax! Head out to the Dead Sea, where you can go scuba diving or even take a mud bath which is widely believed to have naturally therapeutic properties. Many people opt to float in the Dead Sea for the afternoon due to its relaxing nature.
Day Five
Take a day trip to Tel Aviv, where you can indulge in its famous restaurants, stroll its many museums and stay until nighttime to soak up some vibrant nightlife. Rothschild Boulevard is the place to be in Tel Aviv at night, especially if you’re interested in bars and clubs.
Day Six
Book a tour out to the Negav Desert and join in on some adventure by going sand-boarding on its famous dunes. You can drive yourself, but its easier to take a tour then rent a car for a day trip.
Day Seven
Head out to Ein Gedi Reserve, a natural oasis which features beautiful waterfalls and stunning greenery that will take your breath away. Wear good hiking gear and spend the afternoon taking in the natural beauty.
Day Eight
On your final day, take a visit to Bethlehem which is the most important Christian religious site in the country. You can take a self-guided tour or book a tour with a group if you’d rather not go alone.
